Zines

  Zine
Zines or fan zines are self published pamphlets. Originally fan zines mostly consisted of science fiction movie or independent music fans writing to critique or start a discussion about something they felt was not talked about in popular culture. The term fan zines now mostly refers a personal diary or collection of stories about one's life (mostly comedy) put into a pamphlet and made somewhat widely available. Zines are also made as a form of "skill sharing" one could learn about anything from DIY herbal abortions, to screen printing or train hopping. A large portion of zines are on the subject of leftist politics, particularly anarchism, and direct action. They are traded by mail or in most infoshops aroud the world. http://www.microcosmpublishing.com/ http://crimethinc.com/
