Zentralfriedhof Friedrichsfelde

Zentralfriedhof Friedrichsfelde, also known as the Gedenksttte der Sozialisten (the Memorial to the Socialists), is a cemetery that contains most of the graves of former East German (GDR) leaders including Walter Ulbricht who ordered the building of the Berlin Wall, and Wilhelm Pieck, the first President of the GDR. Also among those buried there are Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, co-founders of the Communist Party of Germany. See also: List of famous cemeteries
