) is a space
launch vehicle
manufactured by the
Yuzhnoe Design Bureau
of
Ukraine
. Zenits are launched from
Russia
's
Baikonur Cosmodrome
in
Kazakhstan
, and by the
Sea Launch
organization's floating launch platform in the
Pacific Ocean
. Since the Zenit is not produced in Russia, it is being replaced in that service by the
Angara
, although Russia does use Ukrainian launch vehicles. The
National Space Agency of Ukraine
continues to market the Zenit. Current models:
