ZedekZedek is a Persian or middle-eastern name for the planet Zeus/Jupiter, and is mentioned in the Christian and Jewish Old Testament Bibles and in other middle-eastern writings with names such as Melchi-zedek and Malachi-Zedek. Malachi means "My King," or "My King is," and the words Melchi-Zedek and Malachi-Zedek mean "My King is Zedek," which are references to the planet Zeus to the Greeks, and Jupiter to the Romans. The people who claimed that their king was Zedek or Zeus or Jupiter were actually planet worshippers, as well as astrology believers, who payed close attention to the appearances of the shiny planet gods/dieties in the sky. There is also a word for a Priest or Lord of Zedek, which is translated as Adonai-Zedek, which means "Lord Zedek," or "My Lord is Zedek," or "My Lord is Jupiter," or "My Lord is Justice," since the planet Zedek/Zeus/Jupiter was supposed to be a lawgiver and judge and involved with justice. The period of revolution of the planet Jupiter is 12 years, and this is quite possibly where the origin of the 12-man jury comes from, since many modern juries are composed of 12 people, and the planet Jupiter/Zeus/Zedek was supposed to be a law-giver and a judge of man. The planet Jupiter is also known as Jove, and the ancient Romans swore to that planet when they took oaths in their courts of law. The saying "By Jove," comes from this oath to Jupiter. Modern astronomers refer to the planet Jupiter as the Jovian planet, and it is also the source of the word jovial. The other explanation for the 12-man jury comes from the zodiac which consists of 12 constellations which the Sun and Zedek/Zeus/Jupiter and the other seven heavenly objects pass through each year in their journies through the sky.
