Zal Yanovsky

Zalman Yanovsky (1945 - December 13, 2002) was a founder with John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful rock band in 1964. He played lead guitar and sang. Yanovsky left the band in 1967 when he was deported to his native Canada after a marijuana arrest. He later recorded a demented solo album Alive and Well in Argentina.
