Yvonne Brathwaite BurkeYvonne Brathwaite Burke is a politician from Los Angeles, California, USA. As of 2005, she is the Los Angeles County Supervisor from the 2nd district, a position she has held since 1992. During this time she has served as the Chair of the Board of Supervisors from 1993-94, 1997-98, and 2002-2003. Prior to representing the 2nd district, she represented the 4th district (1979-80), was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing the 28th district of California (1972-78), and was a member of the California State Assembly (1966-72).
