Yun Sondo

Yun Sondo (1587-1671) was a Korean poet. He was a court official during the Joseon dynasty, but was banished criticising the government. He spent most of his life in a country home, teaching and writing poetry. He is considered to be the greatest Korean poet. His most famous composition is The Fisherman's Calendar a cycle of 40 sijo.
