Yukon (Electoral District)

Yukon is the name of the only federal electoral district in Yukon Territory, Canada. Its population is 28,674. (2001)

Geography

The district includes all of the Yukon Territory.

History

The electoral district was created in 1952 from Yukon-Mackenzie River. List of Members:

  3. Audrey McLaughlin, NDP (1987-1997)
  4. Louise Hardy, NDP (1997-2000)

The district also existed from 1902 to 1947. It was created when the Yukon became a Territory. The district was abolished into YukonMackenzie River in 1947. List of Members:
