YoxfordThis article is about the English village. For other uses, see Yoxford (disambiguation). Yoxford is a village in the north of Suffolk, England surrounded by the parkland of three country houses in an area known as the Garden of Suffolk. The village derives its name from a ford of the River Yox where oxen could pass. It runs near the village. The "Griffin Inn", a medieval Suffolk inn is located here. The Satis House Hotel, An 18th century house, was referred to by Charles Dickens in Great Expectations. According to Pip, Satis means "whoever lives here could wish for nothing more". The Church of St Peter is situated here. External links - http://www.yoxford.com/
