You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore, Vol. 2The title of an album by Frank Zappa. Unlike the rest of the You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore series, Vol 2 is not a collection from various different live recordings but is supposed to be a complete concert recorded in Helsinki in 1974. The date and actual location of the show are unidentified in the liner notes. The track listing is similar to Roxy And Elsewhere as are the band personnel. The performances on this version are masterful and well worth the investment. Look out for the double speed version of 'Village of the Sun' which is sandwiched between the best version I know of RDNZL and Echidna's Arf (Of You). Also worth taking in here is the brilliant (and somewhat unrehearsed) version of 'Montana'. The band is Frank Zappa (vocals and guitar), Napoleon Murphy Brock (vocals and sax), George Duke (vocals and keyboards), Ralph Bellamy (bass), Ruth Underwood (percussion) and Chester Thompson (drums). It is astounding to listen to the wealth of sound on this album and think that it emanates from only six people. Track Listing Disc: 2
