Yinxu

Yinxu (殷墟) was the ancient capital of the latter part of the Shang Dynasty of China. It is famous for the discovery of oracle bones and their inscriptions which are thought to be the beginnings of Chinese characters and writing. See also: Anyang, Capital of China, Yin (city)
