Yesterdays

Yesterdays (1975) is a compilation album by the British progressive rock band Yes. This album was released during a brief period of time in which the various members of the band were pursuing their own solo projects. It consists mostly of material from their first two albums, as well as the single b-side Dear Father and a previously unreleased version of the Simon & Garfunkel song America. All the tracks on this album feature Yes original line-up with Peter Banks and Tony Kaye except America, which features Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman. A shorter edit of America was released as a single in 1972. This was the last Yes album until Drama (1980) to use cover artwork by Roger Dean. The front cover incorporates imagery from the cover of the UK release of Time and a Word, while the back cover was designed to be used as an alternate front cover.
