Yau Tsim Mong

Yau Tsim Mong (油尖旺) is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the west of Kowloon. Population (2000): 295,700. Its name is the contraction of the first characters of three of its areas: Yau Ma Tei (油麻地), Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀), and Mong Kok (旺角). Yau Tsim Mong District was formally two districts: Yau Tsim District and Mong Kok District.

Transportation

Five rail lines serve this dictrict. The area is served by the Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tung Chung Line and the Airport Express of the MTR metro system, as well as by the KCR East Rail.
