Yadegar MoxammadYadegar Moxammad (Tatar: Ydegr Mxmmd, Ydkr, Ydegr, ya-de-GA-rr mer-kham-MAT) (? 1565) was the last khan of Kazan Khanate (1552). Yadegar Moxammad the son of Astrakhan khan Qasim. In 1542-50 he was in the service of Muscovy, participated in the attack on Kazan in 1550. In 1552 he was invited by Qol Sharif (Qol Şrif, /qol sha-REEF/) and Chapqin bek Otich uli (apqın bk Otı ulı, /chahp-QEN bek o-TECH oo-LE/) to the throne of Kazan Khanate. Subsequently, he led the war against Russian invasion. He was captured in August 1552 when Russian troops took Kazan. In 1553 he converted to Christianity, assumed the name of Simeon Kasayevich and lived in Moscow as a Russian nobleman.
