Xhemil Dino

Xhemil Bej Dino (born in 1894) was an Albanian diplomat. He was a delegate from Albania to the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Assembly of the League of Nations (19251927). He became ambassador of Albania to the United Kingdom in 1932, but he was forced to resign after his lover committed suicide on the steps of the embassy. During the Italian occupation, he was the Foreign Minister of Albania in Shefqet Verlaci's government from April 12, 1939, until the Ministry was abolished and the foreign affairs were taken over by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 3, 1939. Dino was then given the rank of an ambassador in the Italian service. After amria was conquered in 1941, Dino was appointed the High Commissioner of Thesprotia.
