wythe (dict)

Wythe

A wythe is a continuous vertical section of masonry one unit in thickness. A 'double wythe' masonry wall often involves a decorative, interior masonry unit, and a more durable exterior masonry unit. 'Double wythe' walls are typically thicker than 'single wythe' walls, which are only one masonry unit thick.
