Wstr (Fm)

WSTR FM ("Star 94", 94.1MHz) is an Atlanta FM radio station that plays hot AC. It is owned by Jefferson-Pilot Communications, and has Smyrna, Georgia as its city of license. From the early 1970s until late 1989, this station was top 40 94Q (WQXI-FM). Then, it switched to hot AC "Star 94". Several influential air personalities have worked at the Atlanta station, including Ryan Seacrest from American Idol and Scott Shannon from WPLJ in New York. The current staff includes the Steve & Vikki show, one of Atlanta's longest running morning shows. WSTR FM shares a tower with WPBA TV 30, and in fact shares the same antenna with WSB-FM 98.5 and WVEE FM 103.3. The three radio stations' transmitters are diplexed together, so that they all feed to the antenna instead of into each other.
