Writtle

The village of Writtle lies in Essex, England, just to the west of Chelmsford. Named in the Domesday Book, the village also boasts the site of a medieval royal hunting lodge reputed to be the birthplace of Robert the Bruce. It has a pretty, traditional village green, complete with duck pond, and a beautiful church which dates back to Norman times.
