Wrights Hill Fortress

Wrights Hill Fortress is a coastal battery in the Karori suburb of Wellington, New Zealand. Built from 1942 to 1944 to house 3 9.2" guns, only 2 were installed, and the fort never saw action. It is similar in design to the Stony Batter battery near Auckland. The fort is in the hands of a preservation society and can be visited on regular open days.
