The Town of Worth is located in the southeast corner of the county. Geography The south town line is the border of Oswego County, New York, and the east (and part of the north) town line is the border of Lewis County, New York. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 112.2 km² (43.3 mi²). 111.9 km² (43.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.21% water. Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 234 people, 96 households, and 67 families residing in the town. The population density is 2.1/km² (5.4/mi²). There are 259 housing units at an average density of 2.3/km² (6.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 93.59% White, 3.42% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 2.99% from two or more races. 1.28% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 96 households out of which 32.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% are married couples living together, 4.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% are non-families. 25.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 2.93.
