Worldfish Center

The WorldFish Center (originally International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management or ICLARM) is an international research center specializing in fisheries and related aquatic resources. Much of its work is focused on ways to promote sustainable usage of fish as a food source in developing countries. It started as a program of the University of Hawaii in 1975, supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, and it was incorporated in the Philippines in 1977. The center is a key sponsor of FishBase.
