World Challenge

This article refers to the expedition organising organisation, for the Christian ministry, see World Challenge (ministry).
World Challenge is a British organisation that provides assistance and support to students wishing to partake in an expedition, either within the UK or globally. Schools or colleges can organise anything from a fortnight trekking in the Himalaya to a month teaching English to children in Mongolia. Each student is encouraged to raise the money needed to pay for the expedition themselves, and the expedition itself is led by staff from the school/college, as well as group leaders from World Challenge. It is a similar organisation to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, however, unlike DoE, those partaking in a an expedition under 'World Challenge' do not gain an award, and it is solely expedition based (although some charitable work is encouraged during the expedition).
