Workplace OccupationWorkplace occupation is a form of direct action in which employees assume control of their place of work, ignoring the commands of their employers. Often, these workplaces are subsequently run by a general assembly of employees. In Argentina, where factory occupations have become increasingly common in the years following the recent economic collapse, employees have often taken it upon themselves to establish security for their places of work and protect themselves from those attempting to take control of their workplaces away from them.
