Wooloowin, Queensland

Wooloowin is an inner-city suburb of Brisbane, located within a 6 km radius of the city's central business district. The suburb derives its name from a local Aboriginal term for "pigeon". It was the home of Brisbane's first Resident Judge, Justice Lutwyche. The suburb is serviced by Brisbane City Council buses and contains two train stations, Eagle Junction and Wooloowin. The suburb also includes the upper-class locality of Kalinga. This area is notable for containing Justice Lutwyche's original residence, now known as the Kedron Lodge.
