Wong Kei Ying

Wong Kei Ying (黃麒英) was a Chinese martial artist, best known as the father of the legendary Wong Fei Hung. He was one of the Ten Tigers of Canton - the top ten kung fu masters in Guangdong (Canton) around the end of the Qing dynasty. In many Wong Fei Hung movies (especially the Once Upon a Time in China series), Wong Kei Ying was pretty much a side character, appearing only in certain story parts. The 1993 movie Iron Monkey features a fictional account of Wong Kei Ying as well as a 10 year old Wong Fei Hung. Wong, Kei Ying Wong, Kei Ying
