Women's Right To Know

Women's Right to Know refers to the idea that a pregnant woman seeking an abortion should be educated as to the possible negative consequences of such a procedure. Some juristictions have Women's Right to Know Laws which mandate that abortion clinics provide such basic information and that no abortion may take place in a given period of time after the patient receives it, usually 24-72 hours. The intent is to give the patient time to learn more about the procedure and to allow a change in her decision regarding the abortion.
