Wolfgang Hildesheimer

Wolfgang Hildesheimer (b. December 9, 1916) is a German author who incorporates the theater of the absurd. Trained as an artist, he turned to writing. After World War II, Hildesheimer left Germany in a state of shock and denial. He sought to address the problems of his native Germany through his works. Works include:
