won 12 singles titles. His best year was arguably

, where he reached the quarter-final in the French Open at
Roland Garros

US Open
and
Wimbledon
. His career win-loss record was 403-241. The highlight of his career was winning the
Australian Open
men's doubles in 1978 with
Kim Warwick
. They beat
Paul Kronk
and
Cliff Letcher
7-6, 7-5 to take the title. In
1985
