Wizard's Rule

In the Sword of Truth series, the Wizard's Rules dominate the series, and a new one is introduced in each new novel. Following are the rules stated thus far: Wizard's First Rule, Wizard's First Rule (1994)
      Chapter 36, Page 397: "People are stupid."  
Wizard's Second Rule, Stone of Tears (1995)
      Chapter 63, Page 634: "The Second Rule is that the greatest harm can         result from the best intentions."  
Wizard's Third Rule, Blood of the Fold (1996)
      Chapter 43, Page 360, "Passion rules reason."  
Wizard's Fourth Rule, Temple of the Winds (1997)
      Chapter 41, Page 318, "The Wizard's Fourth Rule, he called it. He said         that there was magic in forgiveness, in the Fourth Rule. Magic to heal.          In forgiveness you grant, and more so in the forgiveness you receive."  
Wizard's Fifth Rule, from the fifth novel, Soul of the Fire (1999)
      Chapter 28, Page 205, "Mind what people do, not only what they say, for         deeds will betray a lie." 
Wizard's Sixth Rule, Faith of the Fallen (2000)
      Chapter 41, Page 319, "The most important rule there is, the Wizard's          Sixth Rule: the only sovereign you can allow to rule you is reason." 
Wizard's Seventh Rule, The Pillars of Creation (2001)
      Chapter 60 Page 549, "Life is the future, not the past." 
Wizard's Eighth Rule, Naked Empire (2003)
      Chapter 45 Page 471, "Talga Vassternich" or "Deserve Victory" 
Wizard's Ninth Rule, Chainfire (2005)
      Chapter 48 Page 489, "Wizard's Ninth Rule: A Contradiction        cannot exist in reality."
