Wisla
Wisła
is a town in southern
Poland
, with a population of about 11,100, near the border with
Czech Republic
and
Slovakia
. Situated in the
Silesian Voivodship
(since 1999), previously in
Bielsko-Biala Voivodship
(1975-1998). Located near the national tourist centre
Ondraszek
, Wisla is a popular year-round tourist destination, with the nearby mountains favoured by
ski jumpers
. It is the home town of

. The town is named after the Polish name for the
Vistula River
. The well known Wisla

club is actually based in
Cracow
, not in the town of Wisla.
