Wire Jacket

A wire jacket is a jacket made of iron wire which was placed around the victim or suspect's body. The wires were connected to wheels on each side, as to tighten the jacket when needed. If the jacket were to become too tight, it would cut into the victim's flesh. Therefore, this was a torture device. It was rumoured to be possible for the jacket to be worn for weeks without the victim dying.
