Windows Media

Windows Media is a framework for media creation and distribution for Microsoft Windows. It consists of a software development kit with several application programming interfaces and a number of prebuilt technologies. An analysis of an earlier version of the DRM scheme in Windows Media Audio revealed that it was using a combination of elliptic curve cryptography key exchange, DES block cipher, a custom block cipher, RC4 stream cipher and the SHA-1 hashing function.
