Geography Willow City is located at 48°36'15" North, 100°17'41" West (48.604097, -100.294696). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 221 people, 100 households, and 62 families residing in the city. The population density is 189.6/km² (486.8/mi²). There are 143 housing units at an average density of 122.7/km² (315.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 92.31% White, 0.90% African American, 2.26% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 4.52% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 100 households out of which 27.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.0% are married couples living together, 4.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.0% are non-families. 35.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.21 and the average family size is 2.90.
