William S. Cowles

William Sheffield Cowles (August 1846 - May 1923) was an admiral in the United States Navy. Born in Farmington, Connecticut, Cowles married Anna Roosevelt in London, 25 November 1895, the eldest sister of Theodore Roosevelt. He served as the Commander-in-Chief, Asiatic Fleet.
