William Hartman Woodin

William Hartman Woodin (1868 - 1934) was a U.S. industrialist. He served as the Secretary of Treasury under Franklin Roosevelt in 1933. Longtime friend of Franklin Roosevelt, Woodin asked the president to intervene and save lives of the Jews in the Holocaust. As a result, the War Refugee Board was formed Preceded by:
