They are led to a diner where a group of passengers from a bus are waiting for a report on a bridge they have to cross. They begin to turn on each other when they get a positive report on the bridge. It turns out to be false and the troopers and passengers are killed. It is then revealed that one of the passengers is martian. When he reveals that Mars plans to start a colony on Earth, the diner waiter reveals he is from Venus and that Venus plans to start a colony, having intercepted the Martian invasion force.
