Wild Rose (Electoral District)

Wild Rose is the name of a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada. Its population is 101,670. (2001)

Geography

The district is in the southwest part of Alberta. Within the very large riding are the cities and towns of Airdrie, Olds, Cochrane, Canmore, and Banff. The Stoney First Nation are located within the riding. The riding is bounded to the west by British Columbia.

History

The electoral district was created in 1986 and was generally unaltered until some modifications in 2004. List of Members of the Canadian House of Commons:
