Whipple's Triad

Whipple's triad is a diagnostic mnemonic used in suspected insulinoma. It is the presence of hypoglycemia (serum glucose less than 50 mg/dL), neurologic and vasomotor symptoms (such as syncope or diaphoresis), and relief of these symptoms after administration of glucose. It is named after surgeon Dr. Allen Whipple.
