When The Saints Come Marching In

"When The Saints Come Marching In" is a American gospel song, written in 1937 by Luther G. Presley, with melody by Virgil O. Stamps. It is also the theme song for the New Orleans Saints American football team and the English football club Southampton F.C., whose historic nickname is The Saints. It is often confused with the 1896 "When the Saints are Marching In", composed by James Milton Black (words by Katharine E. Purvis), leading to much misattribution.
