It first went on the air in 1954 as WGR-TV. Its transmitter is located on Warner Hill Road in South Wales, New York. It served as an ABC, then ? until WKBW-TV was created. The format is Channel 2 News, prior to 1998, it was 2 News. The partner station for the area is WPXJ (PAX 51). Logo The logo represented a yellow triangle over the blue and had the 2 in common Avant Garde? text. The logo in 1998 changed to a bluer with a red heading on the bottom reading WGRZ-TV Boffalo, New York. The NBC logo is on the left and is not pronounced with NBC at all but it is an affiliate.
