For a long period their main printing plant (now torn down) was in Poughkeepsie, New York. They used to have licenses for Disney Comics from 1930 to 1984 and then Gladstone Publishing took over from 1986 to 1990 and Then The Walt Disney Company started publishing their own comic books rather than liscence them out to other companies from 1990 to 1992 and then Gladstone took over the classic Disney Comics from 1993 to 1998 and Marvel took over the modern Disney Comics from 1994 to 1996 and then their license went to Acclaim. Disney Comics are now being published by Gemstone Publishing.
