Westbury White Horse

The Westbury White Horse is a chalk carving on Salisbury Plain in England. It is the oldest of several white horses carved in Wiltshire. It was restored in 1778, but prior to that its origins are unclear. It has been suggested that it was created in 878 to commemorate the Battle of Eandun.
