Wes BorlandWes Borland (born February 7, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia) is a guitarist in the rock band Limp Bizkit. He was formerly a guitarist in Eat the Day until he rejoined Limp Bizkit in 2004. After graduating from Hillsboro High School in Tennessee, Borland's family moved to Florida where his father took a pastoral job at a Presbyterian Church. In Florida, Borland met the future members of Limp Bizkit while working in a local cafe. Frontman Fred Durst expressed an interest in Borland's talent with the guitar, and in 1994 Limp Bizkit was formed. On stage, Borland was known for his eccentricity, frequently wearing elaborate face paint and black-tinted contact lenses. In April 1998, Borland married long-time girlfriend Heather McMillan. He has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for which he reportedly takes dexedrine. On October 12, 2001, Borland left Limp Bizkit because, he claims, the band limited his ability to express himself artistically. He whimsically formed the band Big Dumb Face as an outlet for his creativity and to push the envelope of rock star behavior; in Borland's words, "I wanted to see how much I could get away with." The whimsy of the experimental band was short-lived; soon after the dissolution of Big Dumb Face, Borland joined the band Eat the Day with his brother, Scott Borland. Wes refers to Eat the Day as a "professional version of Goatslayer," a band with which Borland played prior to his career with Limp Bizkit.
