Wendy Alexander

Wendy Alexander (born 27 June, 1963) is a member of the Scottish Parliament for Paisley North. She is a member of the Labour Party. Prior to entering the Scottish Parliament, Wendy worked in the private, voluntary and public sectors and for an international management consultancy. This included a period as Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Scotland (Donald Dewar). From 1999 to 2002 Wendy was a minister in the Scottish Executive. She is currently a member of the Finance and Education Committees of the Scottish Parliament. Wendy holds degrees from Glasgow University, Warwick University and INSEAD. Her brother Douglas is a Labour Member of Parliament for Paisley South.
