Welsh Centre For International Affairs

The Welsh Centre for International Affairs (WCIA) is Wales's national forum for the exchange of ideas on international issues. It was founded in 1973 to:
  • raise awareness of global issues in Wales;
  • campaign to promote world peace, human rights and international understanding;
  • provide a key point of contact in Wales for international bodies and institutions.
Today, the WCIA works towards its objectives through publications, campaigns, seminars and events on a range of humanitarian and international issues. Its staff and facilities also provide support for the activities of other organisations, including the United Nations Association Wales, CEWC-Cymru (the WCIA's schools arm), UNA Exchange, Cynefin y Werin (Common Ground), Cyfanfyd (The Development Education Association for Wales) and EuropaWorld. The WCIA is based at the Temple of Peace, Cardiff.
