Webway

The Webway in the Warhammer 40,000 universe is an extra-dimensional space utilized by the Eldar for Faster-Than-Light travel. The Webway is a fairly safe method of travel, being free of the demon infestations that plague normal alternate-dimension FTL travel in the Warhammer 40K universe. There is still danger, however: the Webway consists of paths and tunnels that are profoundly easy to get lost in. Maps and guides are necessary. Much of the Webway was destroyed or found itself uncharted after The Fall of The Eldar. Combined with the fact that the technology used to build it was lost, intact Webway gates are some of the Eldar's most treasured artifacts. They range in size from personal gates for foot travel to massive ones that entire Craftworlds use. Because of the gates' rarity and importance, they will stop at nothing to either claim or deny the use of the gates to the enemy.
