Webster Parish is a parish located in the state of Louisiana. The parish seat is Minden and as of 2000, the population is 41,831.

The parish has a total area of 1,593 km² (615 mi²). 1,542 km² (595 mi²) of it is land and 51 km² (20 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 3.23% water.

The racial makeup of the parish is 65.51% White, 32.83% Black or African American, 0.34% Native American, 0.19% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.22% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. 0.90% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 16,501 households out of which 30.40% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.70% are married couples living together, 16.30% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.90% are non-families. 27.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.90% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.48 and the average family size is 2.99. In the parish the population is spread out with 25.60% under the age of 18, 8.60% from 18 to 24, 26.00% from 25 to 44, 23.60% from 45 to 64, and 16.30% who are 65 years of age or older.
