Wealheow

Wealheow is the queen of the Daner, in Beowulf. She is married to Hrogar, the Danish king. Her name is disputed some translate it with Celtic servant, other with bearer of wealth. She is described as an ideal queen who is adorned with gold. She is anxious that Hrothgar secures the succession for her own offspring. She recompenses Beowulf for slaying Grendel with three horses and the Brosing, Freya's Brisingamen.
