Wavenumber-frequency Diagram

A Wavenumber-frequency diagram is a plot in of a field that has been subjected to a Fourier transform both in space and time. In the atmospheric sciences, these plots are a common way to visualize atmospheric waves. Usually, positive and negative frequencies are indicated on the abscissa, while wavenumbers are indicated on the ordinate.
