Wassenaar Arrangement"The Wassenaar Arrangement on Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies" is an arms control arrangement with 33 participating states. It was established after the end of the Cold War as the successor to COCOM. A Secretariat for administrating the agreement is located in Vienna, Austria. - The 1996 list of technologies can be found at http://jya.com/wa/watoc.htm. Software is not included as a restricted technology if it is "generally available to the public" or "in the public domain".
The 33 founding states were: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States.
